One of the most important aspects of human interaction is communication, whether visual, verbal, or nonverbal. The fact that we can share our feelings, thoughts, and experiences with someone else is enriching. Interpersonal communication at any level develops and shapes humans, and always leaves a trace. I decided to recreate this interaction in a symbolic manner with the help of the principle of the pinata, which was created for the purpose of celebration and as a sacrifice to the gods. I invited my friends to have a dialogue with me. We filled the pinata with balloons full of color and then interacted with it. When the balloon and pinata are disturbed, the color flows down on the canvas, creating an original image as a symbol of the conversation process. The whole performance has an indefinite end and it is always a product of coincidence. Each resulting image is original and cannot be reproduced. In my work, collective creation has been slowly gaining more and more importance. That’s why I chose my friends for the performance. It’s a way to create together, with the help of chance.
